Maddie Largey

National Co-President

Maddie is a junior from Bremerton, WA majoring in Product Design. She joined USVH her freshman year as a way to become more involved with the greater Stanford service community. She has enjoyed developing close friendships with many of the veterans over the years and is looking forward to another year serving the Menlo Park veterans and expanding the program.

Koko Kumar

National Co-President

Komal is currently a junior at Stanford, majoring in Human Biology. This year, she is the national recruitment director. Since high school, she has been working with older adults through her organization 'Relive Your Life,' bringing high school volunteers into retirement homes. Through Stanford's USVH, she is able to continue this passion working with our veterans.

Ankit Baghel

Stanford President

Ankit is a senior from Albany, NY majoring in Computer Science. Ankit joined USVH last year to engage with a community of veterans who have rich experiences and face unique challenges. Outside of USVH, Ankit is a research assistant in the Beachy Lab in the Institute for Stem Cell Biology, co-director for health++, Stanford's health hackathon, and tutors for the East Palo Alto Stanford Academy (EPASA). 

Santosh Murugan

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Santosh is a Stanford senior majoring in Symbolic Systems (a mix of Computer Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, Philosophy, and Linguistics: concentrating in Human-Computer Interaction), on a premedical track. Santosh joined USVH during his sophomore year, and feels honored by the opportunity to interact with veterans in a healthcare setting. He hopes to use technology to improve healthcare systems, both in the VA and beyond.

Ellen Ouyang

Chief Financial Officer

Ellen is a junior studying Biology. She is excited for her second year with USVH, this time serving as CFO as well. Outside of volunteering, Ellen works in the Grillet lab focusing on hearing loss and enjoys fried chicken whenever possible.

Serena Lin

Director of Communications

Serena is a senior majoring in English and is the Director of Communications for USVH. Serena has been a part of USVH since her freshman year and loves the opportunity to connect with the veterans to bring her outside of the Stanford bubble. Originally from Southern California, Serena enjoys playing tennis and writing in her free time.

Joseph Noh

Director of Community Engagement

Joseph is currently a junior at Stanford majoring in Biology and minoring in music. He has been volunteering for USVH since his freshman year and has loved it since. His goal is to bring the USVH community closer together so that everyone can share their experiences together.

Lauren Houle

Director of Special Events

Lauren is currently a senior at Stanford, majoring in Biology and minoring in History. This is Lauren’s second year with USVH, and she is looking forward to continuing to serve our Menlo Park veterans by providing meaningful companionship and organizing fun activities for the volunteers and veterans to participate in.

Jacklyn Luu

Director of Recruitment

Jacklyn Luu is a sophomore from the Bay Area, studying biology. For her, USVH is about providing companionship and making meaningful relationships with a community of veterans. Outside of USVH, she swims on the Stanford varsity synchronized swimming team and plays the piano.

Zane Norville

Director of Advocacy

Zane is a sophomore from Portland, Oregon. This year, Zane is the Director of Advocacy for USVH.
