Starting a New Chapter

Our National Co-Presidents would love to guide you through these steps:

• Finding a VA near you

• Contacting that VA regarding volunteering

• Advertising/recruiting volunteers

• Establishing a Board to organize carpools and activities

After creating a new chapter, you will be in close contact with National Board members, keeping one another updated on chapter progress and suggesting ways to improve USVH's local and national program.

Non-Students

1. Visit the Department of Veterans Affairs website and learn about veteran-related programs

2. Find a VA facility near you and ask them if they welcome new volunteers

3. Visit your local library to learn about available volunteer opportunities
