Our USVH Stanford Chapter — our founding chapter — reached its 25th year of partnership with the Stanford University Haas Center for Public Service in early 2020. Stanford’s USVH is a Cardinal Commitment organization, and over its 25 years, our students have acquired over 50,000 hours of combined service.

Reyan Choeb
Outreach Director
Reyan (he/they) is a recent graduate of Biology (Neurobiology concentration) and current coterminal master’s student in Biomedical Informatics at Stanford. Since matriculating, his time has been almost single-handedly devoted to (1) understanding the biological bases of neurological diseases and mental illness and (2) interfacing with and advocating for real communities directly affected by these issues. Through his classes, research, and health service organizations on and off campus, he has chased the same biological and socio-biological itch to care for and learn from our most vulnerable communities in the neuro-compromised and elderly. In his free time, Reyan enjoys listening to and sharing stories, is an avid creative writer and performer, and loves watching and playing soccer. Moreover, he is eager to learn more about his fellow volunteers and Menlo Park residents as USVH continues its work in advocating for veterans’ health issues and improving experiences in palliative care facilities.
Ben Liu
Director of Advocacy
Ben Liu is a senior at Stanford pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science (AI) and an M.S. in Computer Science (Computational Biology). He began volunteering with USVH during the fall of his freshman year and has since immersed himself in the world of veterans’ healthcare and advocacy.
