Stanford University
USVH Stanford Chapter volunteers improve USVH through their leadership and inspiring ideas as this founding chapter continues to evolve.
Our USVH Stanford Chapter — our founding chapter — reached its 25th year of partnership with the Stanford University Haas Center for Public Service in early 2020. Stanford’s USVH is a Cardinal Commitment organization, and over its 25 years, our students have acquired over 50,000 hours of combined service.

Vivian Tien
Director of Outreach
My name is Vivian, and I am a senior studying Bioengineering. USVH was one of the first student organizations I joined in my first year, and I wanted to join because the mission of serving and providing comfort to veterans is deeply personal and I knew other students who really loved their USVH experience. One of my favorite memories in USVH was one winter quarter during which I was one of the few students on the Wednesday morning shift, and I ended up doing a weekly crossword puzzle with one of the veterans. Outside of school, I love to bake, hike, and read!
